Web Design Pricing
$300 - Homepage Creation
Your homepage is the page that people first come to when they type the name
of your website into their browser. The design and layout of this page will
set the theme for every other page on your website. Because of this the majority of the design and layout work will go
into this page.
$100 - Internal Pages
These pages make up the rest of your website and will be linked to your
homepage. Examples of this include: Contact Information and Company History.
Does not include Photogalleries
$200 - Photogalleries
Photogalleries are a great way to show a client
pictures of what you do or sell. Creating them is time intensive because
the images need to be individually
re-sized and placed into the gallery. This price only includes digital images
provided by you; regular photos can be scanned in for a fee.
$200 - Scripted Pages
These include pages that use languages other than HTML.
These are, but not limited to, scripts for blogging software, message boards
or calendar/scheduling scripts. They take extra
time to setup and configure properly.
$200 - Domain Registration and Email Account Setup
If you do not have a domain name registered and/or
hosting in place, I can set that up for you. There are fees for registering
your website name as well for having the website stored on a server so
people can access it. I can recommend a service but you can use whatever host you like.
Whomever you choose to use the typical costs are roughly $25 for registering
and $100 for a years worth of hosting. (Many web hosts offer free domain
registration as part of their hosting plans)
You are
directly responsible for all registration, setup and hosting fees.
Note: Each of the fees listed above include testing and troubleshooting your website
with Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox.
All browsers are not created equal and your website needs to be verified
with them all.
Additional Fees
$60 per hour - Design Fee
This includes any additional web design/graphic work not
listed above. This
would include tasks such as scanning in photos.
$50 per hour - Consultation Fee
This is for non-graphic work such as setting up your new email accounts
that come with your domain, training someone in your company to use blogging software or
in the use
other scripts that may be installed on your website.
$50 per month - Website Maintenance
Once your website is complete and online it will need to be maintained. This
fee covers monthly backups of your website as well as making textual changes
to your pages. Without this any changes to your website will incur the $60
hourly rate.
Other Work
I can do minor graphic design work and have a digital camera more than
suitable for snapshots to be placed on your website. If you need
professional logo design or professional photography I can recommend a
graphic artist for you to contract with.
